Hi
I had a surging problem at about 45 mph and dont know if it is a tranny problem or a bad Ip.
Here is a link to data I scaned with a carcode scanner.
What is the test to find out if the IP is going south about 150K on pump.
Posted original problem in the drive train section.

Have you changed the fuel filter? Tested for lift pump pressure?

I don't mean to highjack his thread, but... what is the lift pump pressure supposed to be? I installed a gauge in the hose running to the drain valve, but it seems awful low to me.

On an EFI engine, anything above zero is fine. The lift pump only supplies fuel to the injection pump. All pressures are determined by the injection pump. As long as the inlet is not under a vacuum, the pump is supplying adequate fuel.
