if I top off the antifreeze, it takes about 2 days for the low coolant light to come on. the level has maintained 1/2 inch below the level sensor for the last 3 weeks.
I see this as a leaking level sensor.
the problem is that I cant find any parts place that lists one.
I was told by someone the sensor cannot be replaced, and you must replace the coolant overflow bottle.
all replacements I have found are the standard type, with no sensor.
my overflow bottle is pressurized.
do you guys have a pressurized bottle??
I do not have access to another 6.5TD truck to compare with.

I can go to the dealer saturday if I have to.

The bottle is definitely pressurized - the cap on top is your "radiator" cap.

I've never looked for these parts, but have you tried a place like NAPA? If indeed you have to buy the whole bottle, how about LMC Truck dot com?

grab the radiator hose right after you start it ...does it get hard pretty quick??

all the parts stores around here tried to sell me the non-pressurized bottle.
the dealer wanted over $100 for it.
I ended up at a salvage yard, that had to have one shipped in from another yard.

glad to have it fixed, but it shouldve been easier to find reasonably priced.

Did you look at LMC? It looks as though a brand new one is $89.
