Last night coming thru cajon pass(I5), pulled over to answer nature, slammed door and marker lights went out. Still have headlights, drl, and dash lights. Checked fuse(#9), and replaced anyway to make sure. No joy. Checked under dash, wires from dealer installed alarm go to two wires coming from back of switch. running lights flash when alarm activated. Dealer(?) used crimp clamps to splice into harness, so I think at least one of the two wires is/are cut.
Problem is, my shop manuals are in AZ, and I'm in Fremont CA. AND, I can't remember whats involved in stripping the dash to get to the switch. I can't stuff my hands in, and damn sure cant get my soldering gun in. And dont want to destroy the dash unless necessary. Searched old threads and if anythings ther, I missed it. HELP!!!

Hi
I just had mine out and it's straightforward. The dash bezal just snaps in place,so just pull around the edges and it will come out of the snaps,if you have a tilt wheel tilt it down, otherwise you will have to pull the top of the bezal out first to get it out of the dash cavity. The switch comes out with the bezal than you can disconect the wire from the switch and get the clearance to work on the wires.I was goin to change my switch, couldn't find the replacement, forgot to hook the wires back up,:orealized this as i was headed out on the highway, stoped poped out the bezal hooked up wires and replaced within 45 secs.Practice makes perfect;)

Thanks, again. Pulled dash trim, and sure enough both speed splices had cut through the running light leads. So, dug out the iron and borrowed some heatshrink from my brotherinlaw, and we have lights.
