Merry Xmas to all, I need a waste gate control for my 6.5 that isnt using any electronics. Next the GM trans control system we are using for the 4L80E is designed for a petrol motor & picks up the RPM sens from the distributor we have to sens of the alternator thus at idle the comp says it is running at 3400 RPM. Has anyboby been able to alter it or do we just us this as a starting point & tell the comp that flat out is 7000 RPM ? The TCS part No is 12489491. 1 more thing the wire plug going into the 4L80E does this have N lock out + reverse lite can I get a wiring schematic.

Cheers

Rod

oka065,

Wastegate: Bill Heath, Heath diesel has a mechanical device called the turbo master. Search yahoo and find his site.

Trans Rpms: There is a post here somewhere with a part number for the correct sensor that mounts in place of a distributor on a gas engine in the valley at the back of the motor. Do a search and you should find it. On edit: look here (http://forum.thedieselpage.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=006148) for part number of engine speed sensor.

Wiring: Does have neutral lock out and backup lights, don't have a wiring schematic so I can't be of much help here.

Goodluck,
Justin

Looking into the wiring (old and new) and can't find both signals.
I guess the swithes are some were else like the steering column?
Al wires are used to control the transmission not miselanious functions.

With the centermount urbo I do not think the rpm sensor will fit, not sure though.

The neutral safety switch is mounted on the left side of the transmission, and is slipped over the gear selector shaft.
