93 6.5l K2500

Hello, new to this forum and new to diesel trucks as an owner,drive the big ones every day though. I have an opp.to by a 93 chevy 2500 with a 6.5L FOR $3000. It has 200000 miles is an auto ttrans 4x4 extended cab long bed very little to no rust, interior decent,auto everything,checked carfax and is clean, 185000 miles were put on the first 7 1/2 years the rest since. looks to be 2 owners missouri and iowa. that being said is there any known problems to look for with this truck that come to anyones mind? Any feedback would be great. Thanks

There are lots of things to look for but it is a good truck I like the 93 because of the mechanical injection pump.
There is injection pump failure, lift pump not working, possible cracking heads- webbing of block. So on and so forth but those are all possible with all 6.5's.
I would say if it seems to run strong and have little or no problems you take care of it it will be ok.

I am unsure of that, though I believe all 2500 and 3500 auto's were the same. I believe its the 4L80E.
