Military 6.2 vs. Civilian 6.2 ?

hey guys, does anyone know the differiences between a 6.2 diesel that came in a mid 80's CUCV vs. a 6.2 that came into the civilian market blazers etc. I have heard there are some differences. Please help

The cucv's came with J code intakes and injection pumps. This just means they put out a little more fuel and didn't have the egr stuff the 1/2 tons did.

However the 3/4 and 1 ton civy trucks had J code stuff as well. The real difference for the cucv's was in the dual series run alternators that supplied the starter and glow plugs system with 24volts.
