West Coast Style Mirrors

The 1987 GMC in my sig and avatar has west coast style mirrors (like on a big rig), but made of painted mild steel. The brackets are getting pretty rusty and crusty and I'm hoping to replace them. I would like to replace them with exactly the same bracket in stainless steel, but can only find the long rectangular mirror, no brackets. I've checked a couple local wrecking yards, nothing so far. The local part stores also only carry the mirrors. AW Direct has "mini" west coast brackets, but these are smaller and missing the triangle frame on the top and bottom.

I figured the towing guys here would know where I could order these and get a decent price.

Just a thought.. have you tried the real truck dealers? Navistar, Freightliner etc. Just picked up a mirror set from Navistar for my IH truck, full stainless, good price. Quite a shock after years of paying outrageous prices.
