Where is the AC orifice tube located at? (dual air 94 K2500 6.5 4x4 Burb)
Thanks
On the front AC unit, the orifice is located right inside the connection where the high pressure line connects to the Evaporator at the firewall.
The orifice plugs inside the line. Usually there is a little tab inside the line on the end of the tube to pull it out with. There will also be a plastic screen on the tube too.
The rear units (Burbs) use an expansion valve near the rear evaporator core.

OK- so I replaced the accumulator / dryer & didn't see the orifice tube at the fire wall-
I'm guessing I didn't miss it & it's the outboard one (Left Line) in the picture that runs along the frame rail?
Yuk, looks like no fun to get at-
Please clarify thanks

The tube is inside the coupler on the high pressure side (smaller tubing) just before the firewall. It looks like the one in your picture (probably is that coupler). Loosen/separate the connector, and you should see the orifice tube tab (used to pull it out). Be sure the system is evacuated, first.
On my 99' the tube was in the line at the coupling under the pass side battery tray just in side the radiator support as it enters the engine bay.

Hey Dave,
Actually I looked there first but wasn't there on this dual air 94 . I guess they moved them around-
I'll report back after I find my treasure.
I replaced mine when I changed the condenser. The new condenser had one in it with instructions to remove it if the condenser was to be used in dual air because there was already one in the system. Maybe you should take a peek in the condenser at the fitting for an orfice tube in the possibility that some one installed an aftermarket condenser and left the tube in and not in the proper location.

Dave NY (http://www.thedieselpageforums.com/tdpforum/member.php?u=18884)
Dave from NY wins the location lottery!
I Looked there already!!!:o
But the orifice was down the tube a little-
Diesel Dane - a local told me to look for a small crimp a few inches down from the connection - so upon re-inspection twas there!
