A/C Strange

Ok, just for thought. Buddy comes by said his orffice tube needs replaced. l got my HVAC tools out and said go ahead. It's a 99 burb w/gasser, I showed him what to do and left. R&R the tube pulled the vac all looks good. Put 12oz's of refrig. and the low/high read great (45/176). Still no cold a/c out the vents. The blender door is working. The burb hold 3# 8oz's how did 12oz's fill it up??? Where do you think the blockage is??? I think accumulator. Thanks in advance...

Was the system run an allowed to suck in the remaining amount of refrigerant ???

Pulling the vacuum is good, but the vacuum will only suck in about what you mentioned.

The remaining amount must either be pumped in or sucked in through the low side port.

If there is a blockage the pressures would get all screwy.

Either the low side would suck into a deep vacuum or the high side would be way too high.
