2500 steering

just bought a 2500 and the steering feels kind of stiff at first then seems to get a little better was wondering if this could be the stabilizer shock or if it might be the steering box? Any suggestions?

Put the front of the truck on jack stands, then work the steering full right/left, looking for some sort of problem that might produce what you're seeing. Also, check the PS fluid reservoir level and fuild condition.
