1993 GMC Pickup with 6.5

Just scored a 1993 GMC 6.5 pickup. The owner said it has problems with reverse, but otherwise it's in great shape. He just wants to get rid of it.

FOR $500!

I know, at a minimum, I should be able to take out the engine for use in my 95. Not sure what else I can scrounge. At best, I can have the high school auto shop fix it up and use the whole darned thing.

I think if I scrapped out the whole truck I could get more than the $500 he wants for it.

But, we'll see. Now all I have to do is break the news to the WIFE! :eek:

Not sure on the transmission, I'll find out and post is asap.

I know I could use the engine, scrap the rest and at least break even.

I've already had someone offer me $700 for the truck, sight unseen!

The current owner says it runs fine, you just can't rely on reverse being there when you need it!
