Called Lippert about 2 years ago. the o ring on the tank is leaking my hydro fluid out (atf). It is a plastic tank that goes to the pump (pump steel). Lippert doesn't sell parts/make this unit anymore. Just brain storming on rvt that I might could use if I can't find the proper o ring. It's a Keystone so I'm sure there are a lot of them out there. Any info would be helpful. B/c I'm going to repair it after Labor Day (got 2 go 2 the lake).

I've had several of these, but never heard of your problem. If it's just the O-ring, you should have no problem sourcing the correct size. I have one now (on a 2005 Keystone), so I could have a look if needed. Sight unseen (if the tank is damaged), I think you could, at least temporarily, use another tank and plumb it in. It only needs a positive supply of fluid to the pump. You might try finding one in a wrecking yard.
The slides are 100% hydraulic. Even the back-up requires the hydraulics to work. The back-up only helps if you have no DC power to run the motor, or if the motor quits. It works with a cordless drill/socket (had to do this on an older unit with a bad motor). The only fluid leak I've had was a loose coupler on a hose.

Lippert redesigned the pumps, and discontinued the old style pumps and reservoirs. Lippert's official answer is either replace the pump assembly (nearly a thousand bucks), or remove the reservoir, clean it really well, and then reassemble the tank onto the pump using a high-quality RTV silicone. Let it sit at least 24 hours before adding any fluid into the tank.
I work at a Keystone dealer, and have run into this problem before. The silicone trick usually works pretty well. It's not an o-ring issue, I think it's the tank distorting its shape over time.

Thanks Casey.
Do you know when they updated the design? What year model did they start?

Thanks Dmax and Casey. What type of silicone do you use? This was about the same thing Lippert told me. They said do away with the o ring. My dealer is like well we sell an upgraded one. I don't need a new one just don't need mine to leak out. It done it 2 years ago and now 3 times this season.
Thanks Brad...

I can't recall for sure when they changed...it's been pretty recently. Around 2007 I would guess.
Just use good high-temp automotive gasket style silicone, and let it cure overnight before adding oil. I'd leave the o-ring in place myself.

Thanks. Guess that's one more thing to add to my list of things to keep an eye on.

Thanks I'll do and post a follow up. I'll give it 24-36 hr to cure.

Ok did the above instructions (twice). Did the first time with small bead, second time with a glob of RVT. It has not leaked yet. I promised an update it just takes time to see if it will leak or not. Thanks for all the info. :D
