EGR Valve? Im so confused

Ok so im new to the whole diy thing im learning day by day. I have
a 1996 6.5L Diesel Yukon im getting a check engine light so I got her
checked out and they say its the egr valve now I read how easy they
are to put it so I just ordered one off of rock auto and now the one
I got looks totally different to whats in there. Am i looking in the right place
or am I totally off?

Your picture shows the Wastegate Actuator. The EGR valve is inside the intake manifold.
