Diesel Rattle

I have noticed that under hard acceleration I get some rattle out of the motor. It is usually just a quick short rattle then it smooths out. It will sometimes do this loaded also.
Is this normal with the D-Max or do I need to be checking into this. This truck puts out hardly any smoke even loaded. Have not ever noticed any on start up. She has 115K on her.

I have experienced this with a partially blocked/restricted fuel filter. Have you changed yours recently?

Yes, I have changed out the fuel filter and the air filter, and recently put on JK's block off kit to fix some other issues. Truck starts and idles fine, and under normal driving is pretty quiet.
Does not seem to be getting any worse so far. Is there any fuel flow issues to check for other than the filter ?
