I searched for it,couldn't find it, and due to the lack of anyone complaining of problems, I presume the Duramax doesn't have a PMD? True? If if doesn't, what does the Duramax have that takes the place of the PMD?
Thanks,
Bob

No "PMD" on a Duramax. Early models have the fuel solenoid driver as part of the EDU (also called the FICM), while later models have no EDU and are driven at each injector, with voltage improvements. Actually, the system is much simpler, from a PMD point of view. The Duramax injectors have a Piezo-type servo, which require significantly less driven power to fire them (compared to the DB4 fuel solenoid). In the end, as you've found, there aren't many complaints of the electronic end of the fuel system. Very well engineered, for what it's worth.
