Noticed for the last couple of weeks that once in a while, when starting the engine, for a second or two, it cranks very slowly then cranks as normal. Seems to be more common when it's hot. The batteries are new (August). I'm going to check all the grounds in the starter circut when I get a chance, but the truck has 180k on the clock and I'm wondering if it's time for a new starter?

I am also now having a "Intermitent slow crank issue'. Alternator, batteries and connection ok. How long do these starters last? 01 D-Max w/168,000 miles.

Assuming the batteries, battery cables and all related connections check out OK, I'd look at the starter.
