My '07 Classic is throwing two codes, PO403 "EGR Solenoid Control Circuit" and PO46C "EGR Position Sensor Performance". I'm reading this info off my Banks IQ. I installed the Banks 4" exhaust, Ram cold air intake, Economind and Speed Brake last summer. I love all of it.
What needs to be done about the codes? it doesn't seem to effect how the truck runs, but the check engine light is bothersome. Thanks for any help.

My 06 did this - it ended being the EGR Valve/Motor.

There is a TSB about this - says to first try 'cleaning' the valve using the scan tool to manually control the valve position.

The dealer tried this on mine first - codes still came back so they ended up replacing the valve assembly. It's been fine since.

Unless you have over 100K miles on your truck, it should still fall under the 5yr/100k diesel warranty. Not sure if EGR issues are covered specifically - you might check with a dealer first. They should be, but...

Hope that helps.

Joe.
