Harmonic balancer sleeve, yes/no ???

Hello All:

I will be replacing my harmonic balancer, belt pully, timing chain cover seal, belt and was wondering what good if any a "harmonic balancer sleeve" is? Is it only to use on a worne harmonic balancer and old seal or will it do any good on new parts?

If you are referring to a "speedy-sleeve", they are for worn/leaking shaft/axle seals. Your new balancer should have no need for one. If it does, take it back. Normally, by the time a balancer needs help getting sealed, it should be replaced anyway.

Kinda what I thought but wanted to check since I was "in there" and like to replace everything possible while doing so.
