Different valves

I know the 1982 6.2s have bigger valves but is there differences in valves in he whole lifespan of 6.2s and 6.5 after that?

The early 6.2 had the larger valves. There was an incidence of cracking between the valves and the valve size was reduced to allow for more material between the intake and exhaust.

The later heads, both 6.2 and 6.5 have smaller valves and this continued for the remainder of the production.

The reduction of the valve size though did not totally eliminate the cracking issues.
