Happy new year to all.
I have an oil leak which is progressively getting worse from the engine oil cooler hoses on my 96 K1500 6.5 Suburban. I've always blamed the use of alloy/aluminum parts which I believe are too soft to hold and seal for long term use and must have made GM a small fortune in sales over the years that owners have been replacing them.

Does anyone know of a supplier who can supply a ready to install kit including hoses (with steel not aluminum connections) and connectors with the correct threads to replace GM crap?
I would normally just go to a hose supplier and get something made up as I have done in the past back in Scotland with the 6.2's that I have owned but don't have the time to mess about and would prefer if it is possible to get a ready to install kit for the Suburban.

Thank you in anticipation of any replies.

Jim

Jim:

Lubrication specialists (an advertiser here) and I think Kennedy Diesel (also an advertiser) have kits to replace the lines with better quality stuff.

Get those suckers replaced before they blow off and dump all your oil on the ground while you're not paying attention...

Thanks John,
That's exactly what I'm afraid of.
