Using Some Oil

With 92K miles on the motor, my LLY has started using a little oil at the rate of one quart in 5000 miles. Motor is dry with no leaks. My driving style is very easy going. No hotrodding, just an easy going old fart driving style. I have always used Delo 400 with oil changes at 4-5000 miles. Has anyone ever experienced reduced oil useage by switching to say Delvac or another dino oil ?? Not interested in switching to synthetic.

I have had great luck keeping Delvac in the trucks listed below, rarely adding more than 1qt between 10K intervals, and then only in summer when towing heavily. Little to no oil consumption during fall/winter during snowplowing duties.

My advice would be try the Delvac in the black jug for the next two oil change intervals, and see if you experience any improvement.
