LLY Glow plugs

is there a way to check the Glow Plugs? i have 2 codes come up on #4 and #8 glowplugs. is there an ohms test or something to check to see if the glow plugs are good? i have searched lots and can not find anything. or do yuo check them like the old 6.5's? 12v test light hooked to power, if light comes on good, if not bad ?

Nothing new here. Same old thing, glow plugs are glow plugs. Use a test light. If the plug lights the tester, the plug is good, in all likelihood. There may be a rare occasion when a plug may show continuity but it doesn't heat sufficiently. It's the exception, not the rule.

FYI: #4 and #8 are the 2nd and 4th cylinder (from the front) on the driver side.
