As i was traveling north bound i 35 north i could see way up ahead somthing that i thought was in trouble. It was the rear of a trailer that had smoke rolling around the rear of it and i mean alot of it. As i got closer and closer i got a better look and it was a tripple axel race trailer about 45 ft and what ever was pulling it definatly was really puttin the diesel in the air. I thought to my self that there is no way that is a 6.5 because they cant put that much out there, when i got up along side it ill be damed if it was'nt a 6.5. I departed thinking that these motors must be tougher than people think they are to be able to take what must have been a real ass kicken in the pyrometer readings dept.

Probably needs a Turbo-Master, like the rest of us.

Was he going 55mph on flat ground with a tail-wind?

I don't have a turbo master and don't need one. ;)

...or some attention to the operation of the boost controls, as Ronnie Joe points out.

I was actually in my car going about 80 and it took quite a while to reel him in. He was doing 70 plus. I just knew he was burning it down.

How do you know it was a 6.5 under the hood? There are around 5 12V swaps in my area. Most have mods done.

A 12V (twelve valve) is a first generation Dodge/Cummins engine.

Some things in life you just know. The 12v conversion is not popular in this neck of the woods.
