6.5 NA/6.5 turbo

I have found a near new 6.5 NA to replace the motor in my 93 GMC 6.5 TD. Does anyone know what is different about the 2 motors, with the exception of not being turbocharged. What would I need to do to add my turbo to this motor if possible. Other than an unrepairable craked block my 6.5 TD is near new also.

The newer NA 6.5's only had 5 piston oil spray nozzles, and the cyl heads used pre-cups with smaller ports (aka fuel mizer).

If it's an earlier NA 6.5, the heads/pre-cups were the only differences that I'm aware of.

I will have to find out what year it is, would you know what year they made the changes. luckly the heads off my 6.5 are almost new, so i guess if the block year is right i could swap heads hang the turbo and be off to the races. i'm only having to give $1000.00 for the complete motor so i will figure out something to make it work.

I am not familiar with the NA engine either but, the oil supply/return for the turbo is a consideration.
