Brakes lock up when cold

In my 93 when you first take off in it after it sets awhile first few times you hit the brakes it will lock all the brakes down if your not really,really easy on the pedal.after you hit them a few times they are fine.the brake light comes on in the truck after it's driven for a bit also.any ideas. THANKS

the locking up sounds like rusty brakes, if it only does it the first few stop after sitting over night that would be my best guess. as for the brake light check your fluid level. if the level is borderline a turn or stop will trigger the light from the fluid sloshing around
