I have a 2006 2500HD with the large rectangular mirrors. I bought this truck a year ago with about 98k miles on it. Awhile back I pulled the DS mirror out to extend it, and then pushed it back in. Since then, my in-mirror blinker does not work, and the power mirror function only works on the vertical axis, not on the side to side axis. I have futzed with it a little bit, but so far have been unable to remove the mirror face from the housing, to see if I can repair it. I am hesitant to put a lot of pressure on the glass face pulling on it to get it off. How does one access the interior of the mirror, to work on the guts? It didn't grow there by itself in the factory....
