So I don't have time to research this one so...what is needed on a tune up on the 6.5 as far as the intake and exhaust valvetrain? No issues as far as my truck goes but just curious. Thanks.

The lifters are hydraulic rollers, rockers are fixed rack, and no adjustment is necessary. If you are under the valve covers, for any other reason, replace the plastic rocker retainer buttons, just because. They are inexpensive and simple to replace. The chain/sprockets are serviceable, and should be replaced if there is an indication of excessive slack. The injection pump is gear driven by the cam (rotates opposite of cam/crank), so there should be no significant slack between the pump and valve timing. 150K to 250K miles is typical chain/sprocket life.

If your fuel injection system is MFI (Mechanical fuel injection), slight injection pump timing advance can be made over time to compensate for acceptable chain wear. As chain slack increases, timing retards.

There is no adjustment. The lifters are fully hydraulic and self-adjusting. Only visual inspection of the rockers and plastic retainers are required in the event of a problem. No other maintenance required.
