Wanted: M1008 Rolling Chassis

Actually I need the frame and cab. Everything else is a bonus. I'd prefer a truck w/o an engine, as I don't need it, and may be able to get the rolling chassis cheaper that way.

I was able to take some measurements on a parted out M1008 that was already sold and found that the frame is identical in lenght, width, web thickness and guage to my one ton dump. I also need a cab for my 83.

I think because the M1008 was rated for the military at 1 1/4 TON the chassis was strengthened to cope. I had a M1008 for 10 years which I used as service truck when I had a Heavy equipment repair business back in Scotland. Had to be one of the hardiest trucks I've ever used and as a bonus the 24 volt was always handy for boosting Equipment.
