4x4 power

Well guys I just finished my 6.5 power project. I bought a 1993 6.5TD 4x4 reg cab with a blown motor. I used a 599 block that was a 6.2 and bored it .030" over. I used 19.5 compression pistons that were ceramic coated and a diesel depot cam. I used the 1998 style heads with the daimond shaped precups. The injection pump has a marine head in it and is set at 82.3 and I used the high output injectors. To control boost and give me a little more I used Bills turbo master.

I have driven this truck for 1100 miles and I love it, I get about 18mpg and when I get on it I get some black smoke. It feels like I have awesome power from 2200-3100 rpms. It gets about 17 psi of boost when I get on it hard. It is scheduled for the dyno next week I cant wait to share some real numbers!

Watch those EGTs!!! that's too much boost w/o a intercooler. Anything over 12psi for any length of time should be intercooled. I can set the T/M to get that much boost but I found when pulling that it is of little benefit beyond 13-14 psi on a sustained pull, which relates to approx 15-16 psi as a spike.
