Welcome aboard!

The fuel heater is located in the fuel filter assy. Check the electrical connection and wiring (top of filter assy, the bottom wires are for the WIF sensor). The wires can break where they exit the housing, even if they appear fine (inside the insulation). Occasionally, the heater element does fail. What DTC (code) # are you seeing?

It may or may not actually be the heater. If the DTC is regarding fuel temperature, 99.9% of the time it's a ghost, should clear itself, and may or may not reappear. There is nothing to fix with this. The fuel temperature may be outside the expected value, for the conditions. This is not uncommon during fall/spring seasons, while the ambient temps vary significantly day/night, and cross the monitored range.
