Hello,

Does anyone know if the 2006 GMC 2500HD ,crew cab, 4WD, Duramax w/Allison have a radiater drain cock? If so where is it located? And if it doesn't have a radiater drain cock how do you drain the coolant?

Thanks for any info.

Regards,
JimO

On mine is was on the passenger side, kind of hiding till I got the light out and found it on the engine side of the raditator. Changed the thermostat's at the same time I replaced the fluid. Seemed to run out pretty good. Find in another post the method for getting the air out of the system. Then check for the next couple of days. Mine was low after a couple of days but has not moved since then.

Easy access to the radiator drain valve is accomplished by first removing the inner right-front fender well. It comes out pretty easily and you will see the lower right corner of the radiator.
