Just did a 3.5k trip with my Truck camper. Used the poor mans TCC lock up as engineered by mttwister.( Resister in Tran temp Sensor)

Works Good, I can lock up TCC in 3rd gear below 50 mph. Usefull on back roads where speed is varing from around 40-55 mph, Leave in 3rd and switch on.

On long slow climbs, 2nd gear TCC lockup also works from about 28 mph and up. don't shift to 3rd though, shift to harsh. Just heep in second untill at top of hill and go back to normal operation.

On interstate, when coming up to a steep grade where I think it will Unlock TCC, I downshift to 3rd and switch TCC lockup on, Pulls real good
in 3rd at 60mph. Without the Switch, when i tryed 3rd gear climbs, the TCC would unlock at about
6 lbs of boost, With switch I could pull max boost
10psi, and stay locked up.

Tran Temps really stay cool, With the deep pan and
TCC locked, always below 200 degrees. usually around 175-180.
Temps Really climbfast with TCC unlocked.

Does take some getting use to though, as There is a delay when switching in the resister.

Nice to have for the real long steep climbs...
Use to see 250 degrees plus on tran temperature
on the hills in PA.

I have the "BD" Torq-Loc, and have used it a lot in towing. Keeps trans temps low, helps slow me down with the "BD" exhaust brake. Wouldn't leave home without it. ;)
