Click on "search" above {between 'my profile' and 'faq'. Enter 'ABS'. Several threads address symptom, may not solve--but should help!
Helm manual has diagnostic hints.

It all starts with codes. We need those to be able to help.

What do you mean by random ??

I do snowplowing and when I am I will get the abs light to go on and loose my abs braking (which I don't mind)

What the problem is if you go through medium deep snow sometimes the snow will get caught somewhere in there and not allow the abs to engage, comes off as you do more braking.

Just something to consider but also do what Tom Mac say's and maybe there is something that identifies more closely to what your getting.

Good Luck.

I'm not able to get the codes(no scanner).
The problem is that randomly the ABS light will come on and the brake's work only the old fashioned way. Sometimes(50% of time) the ABS system works fine and the brakes are normal and without ABS light coming on.
This bothers me a little bit. Am I able to find out the "problem" without code scanner?

check the wheel sensors (front), sometime the sensors can be out of line and that can couse the problem.
