torque converter question

Can a bad torque converter cause the fluid to smell slightly burnt. I am having an issue with tranny dropping out of overdrive, and no lockup.

Look into adjusting and checking your Throttle Position Sensor. If mis-adjusted it'll cause these issues, or if it's failing.

Perform a search on this forum, for TPS adjustment and I'll bet you'll find some details on your truck. The TPS is used on 92-93 6.5's only.
