Yesterday I was driving around town and pulled up to a stop light, while waiting for the green my suburban just shut off, but all the electrical was still on...

I turned it off and turned the key, started right up and ran fine all the way home, got in my driveway and it did it again...

I don't think its the PMD, I just replaced and relocated the damn thing this past summer...

Any ideas?

Thanks

Mike

I'm sure some of us here can give you some advice, but it'd be a good idea for us to know what you are driving first!
year, mods, etc.

I'm thinking the fuel shut off Solenoid on the pump is a likely candidate.

1999 k2500 Suburban 4x4...

Mods:

4" exhaust
Crossover Pipe
Cold Air Intake
New Injectors (3 Weeks ago)
Glow Plugs
" " Controller
New Vacuum Pump
PMD last summer, and relocation bracket and extension line

The only thing I have done to it in the past week is was off the motor yesterday to make sure I got the injectors to stop leaking... But after I washed it off I let it dry then ran it for 3 hours around town doing stuff and that's when is died...

Hi
It might be your ignition switch. Was having simmilar problems with my 98 3500.Would shut off and could start it right away. When my PMD went you would have to wait a few minutes befor the PMD would cool enough to work again.

Could very likely be the PMD again. I've had them fail in a short time period like that.

Check the PMD extension cable. Had one go with the exact same symptoms. Went through two known good PMDs, spent 3 hours cleaning grounds and even looked into getting the pump re-built. As last resort, hooked the PMD up to the factory plug (no extension) fired right up. Bought one of Johns cables and now is right as rain.

The term "relocation bracket" first catches my eye as a concern. many make thse things so darn small. Also location can be critical.

If your injectors are leaking you need to determine which one(s) are leaking first. They typically leak at the mating surfaces where they seal the upper body etc.

Sorry its been a long time before I could get back on the cpu... Crazy couple of weeks...

I checked all the PMD connections and put Die Electric Grease in them, that was a week ago and I have not had any trouble since...

Maybe that ws the fix? I dont know?

Also I got the injector to stop leaking...

But now the new probolem is the oil cooler lines are leaking really bad so I need to order new upgraded line for the fix...

Anyway other than that the rig is fine I am slowly getting all the bugs worked out...

Pictures Soon!

Thanks for the help
