My 98 K3500 (which incidentally is repowered with a Peninsular engine) is making noises like it has a bad cv on the left axle. Dealer says he has to get an assembly from NAPA, etc. It is probably made in China. This is my only truck, and I use it to haul a 4 horse gooseneck. I'm not sure I trust a "cheap" aftermarket part. Can anybody suggest a source for an axle assembly that will provide maximum strength and durability. I haul 3-4 horses to Montana in the summer and train bird dogs up there where there is little parts support. I don't want this truck to fail up here. Cost is not an issue.
