Hi you guys in US, I am in England and have a Chevy 2500HD Duramax, and just coming up to 77,000 kilometers, and ready for oil change.
I have used Kendall in the past, is there anything better?
I never compromise on oil, and do not expect an engine to do its best for me with 2nd rate lubrication.
It is hard to find good oil for these engines in England

If you can find it there Mobil Delvac 1 (aka turbo diesel truck) is what I use. My 2002 gets Cenpeco 20w50 racing petroleum oil.

Visit the chaps down at the local diesel garage, and ask them what diesel owners prefer in your area. A diesel rated petroleum 15W-40 is fine, but synthetic can be argued for as being better. Most diesel rated synthetics here in the U.S. are 5W-40 weight.

Diesel engines require an oil that is engineered to deal with soot, where an oil developed for a gasoline/petrol engine doesn't have that issue. It's an important distinction.
