Boosting 6.5L TD Performance
What would I do differently if I were to begin another 6.5L Turbo Diesel Power Project? I've been asked that question many times over the past decade, and I answer by saying "I wish I had experimented with different turbochargers." Not until the end of the project did I come to realize that the factory GM-8 turbocharger was a performance-limiting problem. We're always learning, and since the early 2000s we've produced several articles discussing how the various turbochargers we've learned more about might improve 6.5L performance. This update reflects current thinking.
