Hey everyone, I just thought I'd throw this out there, I;m looking for a working turbo master (USED) to play around with on a farm truck we have. Its a 1994 6.5 K2500. It just kills me to spend the $100++ plus shipping that they cost new. Anyone have an extra one laying around they would part with for a good price? Thanks!!!

It is possible to build one yourself out of an old stock vacuum actuator and some hardware store bits for around 10-20 bucks.
It's just not as pretty.....but it will perform essentially the same function.
My preference would be to have an actual TM though (and I do ;) ).
I don't know if it's been covered on this forum, but google should turn up lots of references to "DIY turbomaster" if you want to look at it....

Yes, Ive seen those home made set ups before, but overall I agree.... The ease and simplicity of the store bought turbo master is pretty nice. I have retained the vacuum set up on my daily driver which is a 1994 Tahoe/Blazer and it works perfectly which is also nice. But when/if the vacuum pump poops out I'll strongly reconsider. Idiot Proof mechanical linkages are hard not to like!!
