Anyone ever convert a hummer h3

I have a hummer h3 and was thinking about putting a diesel in it i have a 4bt but it looks like i dont have enough room to us it.

Bully Dog created a Duramax 6600 powered H3 a few years ago. I saw the article in one of the magazines. It looked like a lot of work that required body mods to get it to fit.

The H3 isn't a full-size platform suitable for a full-size diesel package - in my opinion. If it were me, I'd look at a diesel package removed a Jeep Liberty or VW TDI.

Best diesel is 4 cylinder Isuzu Diesel engine.
Existing transmission, and engine mounts, many things are inter-compatible, with less headaches and issues.

I would use 2800 Turbo used in Isuzu Trooper and pickup trucks.

v8 Duramax engines are way too heavy and too big for H3, bad choice.

Its very durable engine, gets great MPG and easy to find parts for.
