Ok, so this has been bothering me for a while and I've ignored it and tried greasing it with a variety of different things (white lith, silicone) and the noise just seems to stay and maybe even get worse. What this is a persistant noise while driving down the road that comes from the tilt column on my '94 Blazer 4WD. it is sort of a constant squeek or scratch noise while driving straight but it seems to go away while in turns. I looked into the column by the hole for the tilt lever (while trying to grease everything) and it looks like there are some rubber/poly/plastic parts on the cylinder of the column that might be the source of the noise. Is there any remedy for this and has anyone else had their GMT-400 column make this strange sound?
