Was just tooting along as I was coming up to a green light it went yellow so I put it to the floor and as I made it through the light I backed off the throttle and it stayed at wide open!! I immediately got on the brakes hard and it started to surge with 1 second intervals, I killed it rolled it to a parkin lot, let it sit for a few minutes and restarted it. Immediately WOT. I did this about 4 more times and it kept doing it... I called my uncle who knows some about diesels. He did something and got it to not stay WOT, he fired it back up and it would Rev to about 3000RPM and then back to idle with about 1.5 seconds in between each rev, It was blowin alot of coal as it revved. I swapped the pmd with another Standadyne one in the engine bay(Guess it was the original replacement and then it wouldnt start. I plugged the original Standadyne back in and now it wont even start....
I'm thinking injector pump or I need another Standadyne.
I need help immediately this is my only ride to work!
