OK, My IP is leaking from the "block" with 4 button head hex screws in it, on the lower part of the IP under & rearward of what looks like a solenoid. Its on the side away from the PMD. How hard is it to fix it wihout R&R the IP?
Thanks, Lionel

Make sure it's not the fuel shut off solenoid running fuel down to that area.

Definitely not the fuel solenoid. I wonder if there could be a pinhole in one of the hoses from the fuel filter spraying upwards from the valley onto the pump? Anybody had this before? The truck does have 180K on it.

Say it was a hose, then you should see fuel at back of valley trying to run down around bell housing. With a flash light you should be able to see something looking between the intake runners. Check all of the return lines at the front of the pump. Even the metal part could of rubbed and may be doing a little spraying.

OK, is definately leaking at the block I refered to in my post. Its almost as though the screws are loose. Is it possible to tighten the four screws without r&r on the pump? Thanks.

Pull the intake off. You can also run Eng. to have a look see.

I can see its leaking from the mating surfaces between the diamond shaped block and the IP. Where can I get a replacement gasket?

OK, I pulled the intake and could get a modified Torx bit & 1/4" wrench down there enough to turn the 2 screws. One tightened 1 full turn and the other 1/2 turn. No more leaks, for now. anybody else ever have these loosen up on them?
