I bought a newer camper 11.5 Lance 4500# dry weight. Put it on 02 2500Hd DMAX with Timbren load boosters and Hellwig saway bars front and back and of course Bilstens on all 4 corners.. Handels pretty good .Problem is it is over the rated weight of the 265 E Michlen tires by about 500 # per tire 1000 # total. Being a little older and more careful nowdays think maybe need duals. Has anyone changed over from srw to drw?? any tips? Don't say truck swap just put 5000K in new injectors at 85K. Thanks Larry93

I havn't done that on. But it is do able. The problem comes with the door tag on your rig. It is only rated from the factory for so much. If you increase the capasity you are still limited by the factory rating. In case of an accident your insuranec could get prety iffy.

Another solution.... there are 19.5" conversion wheels that fit the 8-lug 2500HD. Once the wheels are obtained, there's a plethora of commercial tires available that will give you all of the load capacity you need (from a tire perspective).
