1 month ago i started the rig and everything looked fine. At the first set of lights i saw the eng temp gage in the dash going nuts going up and up. Annyways i brought it back to the shop and parked it since. the next day when we started it the prestone would shoot out of the overfill tank and checking the dip stick we saw prestone mixt in with the engine oil. Everrybody is telling me its just a blown head gasket, how could i be sure that the engine block is not craked. DOES not work hard never pulls.

Hello

What you describe is a typical blown head gasket symptom.

The coolant coming out the overflow and such.

The engine is going to need to come out and apart.

With glycol in the oil the entire thing must be taken apart and cleaned, and you can check the block at this time.

In some cases the number 8 cylinder will crack near the top, and this will cause the same symptoms.

Get it apart and look it over.

Thank' s Robyn for the info. With the kind of scedual i have it' s tempting to buy

everrything new. Annyways im scoping out another 6.5 year 2000 with 4 door' s

, man those crew cab's are impossible to come by around here. There is

390000 km on it but it suposedly runs great. My goal would be to drive it for

the winter and since it looks in good shape body wise stick a brand new suped

up 6.5 in theire from the right peaple.

Thank's
