I am trying to find out if the front hub assembly for an '04 2500 Suburban 4x4 is the same as a 2500 HD truck...

I am having a hard finding part numbers to actualy compare the two. My guess is the 2500 Suburban front end is the same as the 2500 truck.

Thoughts?
Thanks!

Thanks Mark!
I did some digging and I found the same thing. Looks like the 2500HD, 3500HD, 2500 Suburban 4x4, and the Hummer all have the same part number. I haven't looked at the 1500s but I think they may use the same number as well because the guy asked me if it had 6 or 8 lugs. Timken part number SP580310

Which by the way, if true about the 1500s, really ticks me off!!!

What the HECK is GM doing putting a 1/2 ton-truck-rated wheel hub on a 2500 or 3500 truck/SUV!!!!

Maybe that's why the Mrs.' 2500 Suburban that has done nothing (no towing) except take her back and forth to work for 10 years, eats up a wheel hubs at 100K miles!!

I have a 1996 Caprice with 160,000 miles on the clock and I just repacked the original front bearings and off I go....

1500 and 2500's don't interchange except for the few 1500HD's that are actually 2500's with 3.73 gears.....

The bearings on the 1500's (except the 1500HD) are smaller and have only 6 lugs, and of course the 2500's are bigger and have 8 lugs.

The unit bearings are crap.

At least the Chevy's lasted 100K miles, I know plenty of Dodge and Ford boys that have had to replace them at 20K miles. Heck the Dodge ones seem to catch fire when they go.
