this is for any machinists on the forum...
the emissions stuff for semi trucks is getting out of hand cost wise. The manufacturers have
no competition for parts like EGR valves and DPF parts,They seem to price parts like these about 20 times what it costs to make them. And they would swear in church they are not thieves.Anyway it seems like nowadays CNC machines can spit out almost any metal part,s. Do you think that you could make an EGR valve or parts for DPF based on taking scans of OEM parts ???? Overpriced parts are forcing people out of business.
We need to start making our own.
