New friends,
I'm considering buying a low mileage 1996 diesel 2WD Surburban with AT, which LOOKS fine in/out and has about 99,000 actual miles, to use for general transportation/hauling at to pull a fairly large antique runabout boat.
(It was a 4th car, thus the low mileage.)
Aside from the normal things, which would ordinarily would be checked when buying any used car/truck, are there SPECIAL items that should be "looked at" during a PPI?
Any special "concerns" or "weaknesses" with the 1996 model?
OR
Any "modifications" that need doing for a "tow car"?
Fwiw, I own/drive a Mercedes 300SDL (and once owned a 1991 Ford IDI PU) but have little actual knowledge of GM diesels, other than having driven a CUCV a few times in the Army.
