Is there a source for adding dash/panel accessory switches on Chev/GM 2500s? Like for driving lights, spot lights or light bars?

There is an OEM switch for the plow beacon, installs near the passenger airbag switch, IIRC. Any "blank" covers you have in the dash should have a corresponding OEM use, available aftermarket panel, or can be modified to accommodate switch(es). Same for the overhead console. Many aftermarket suppliers, some TDP vendors (http://www.thedieselpage.com/vendors/main.htm), offer mission-specific inserts. For example, I have boost and EGT gages in my overhead console, and that insert (billet aluminum, from Kennedy (http://www.kennedydiesel.com)) came with 2 rocker switches installed (although I haven't used them, yet). There are likely many other similar options from them. LMC Truck (http://www.lmctruck.com) may also have solutions.

Couldn't find the switches/unit for the overhead except for a tuner. No switches. Help?

Did find the oil pan heater. Just waiting to order until I see the extra switches.

LMC Truck. No accessory switches either.

I want to add Driving Lights but want to keep the interior clean. May add one or more other electrical needs.

Found the overhead for the gauges w/two switches. Nice if I were adding gauges also. Just not what I'm looking for.

There is also a PTO control panel that installs in the dash. I'm just offering possible starting points, as I'm not aware of specific items, such as what you are looking for. The gage/switch insert, for example, could probably be had from the manufacturer, without the holes in it. It would handsomely accommodate about 6 rocker or toggle switches, if so. Suggesting the other dash panel switches may offer insight to other options. The dash panel cover above the passenger side airbag control (reg/ext cab), for example, can accommodate a couple switches, easily. The crew cabs had a cubby-hole in this location, but the panel covers are available to replace the insert. I had intended to install a 2" gage in that spot, but the space behind it wouldn't accommodate the gage. It would, however, fit a couple switches.

I do appreciate the help. I've gone to GMparts and have searched using the terms/names you have offered and I can find nothing listed.

Is there a parts catalog or something I could search to find these items?

I dunno. Maybe start searching with upfitter and accessories. I'll check the manual later when I have time. A quick check showed "Instrument panel - Accessory switch replacement. The diagram showed the panel (passenger air bag switch and adjacent cover), but no part numbers there. I'll check further later. Maybe they'll have some info on some of the others, since they were offered by the OEM. I can also pop mine out later, it only takes a minute. Maybe there's a part number on it.

OK. The GM part number for the "housing" is 15207877. GM retail is 6 bucks and change, but it can be had for as little as 3 if you shop around. There's one on Ebay for $14 (http://www.ebay.com/itm/GM-OEM-15207877-Cluster-Switches-Switch-Housing-/161031114284?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item257e33ce2c&vxp=mtr), but it has an illustration, showing the housing and other associated parts, like the switch(es) and covers. Item 7 is the housing, and 8 is the lower cover, the one you want with #7. #6 is a switch (either roof beacon or pass. airbag).

I'll look for other part numbers later. Banks had a switch cluster for their 6-Pack tuner that goes to the left of the steering wheel, but I don't remember if it was an add-on or insert. The ones I saw looked OEM.

Thank you. Really.

I placed a couple toggle switches in the location shown here. In my case, I used them for the nitrous system, but they could be repurposed for any function. The panel they are mounted on is easily removed - just a couple screws hold it in place. With the cover flipped down, they are mostly hidden.
