Anybody used this for towing a fifth wheel? I know some of you guys that snow plow run Timbren but I was interested in the towing aspect. Found PO of my truck installed Timbren on all four corners.

Sure makes my truck corner like a roller skate! No sway or roll to it at all. And the ride is realy nice for a 1 ton. Never have had a duely slideways. But. . .

I have Timbrens on the rear of my truck. The gap between the Timbren and the axle is probably a little less than I would like, but not close enough to make me change them. The only down side of this is bit rougher ride when not towing, but I can live with that.

When towing they perform well and I am very pleased.

Thanks Ed,

I have them all four corners and at first I thought the truck had been lowered a little. They dont leave much room. But as far as ride it is a lot better than my 94/ 3/4ton.

I had them in the front of my 2005 to help with the snow plow. My 2012 has the heavy front axle so no need any more. Never tried in the rear, but if they work I guess stick with them.

I prefer the Air Lift bags and Wireless Air control for the rear. Nice to change settings to match the load and road.

I had them on my 2004 1/2 ton in the front, also for help with a snow plow. They helped with the plow and gave a nice firm ride.

My only gripe is that the rubber used is harder than the factory bump stops. The 1/2 tons are on the stops all the time (part of the suspension) and this compounds the problem. So by the 3rd or 4th year, the Timbren wasn't flexing at all, but all the flex was in the lower control arm bushing. When I traded it in, it was still tracking down the road OK, but the bushings were really in need of replacement.

I've installed a set of Roadmaster Active Suspension helper springs on my Tahoe. I'm really pleased with the performance and ride, even when empty and not towing.
